SFP / Mini-GBIC modules

The modular GBIC interface stands for Gigabit Interface Converter and enables the transition from one transmission medium to another. This simplifies your installation: instead of having to replace an interface card in the switch, for example, an SFP port can serve as a Gigabit Ethernet, fiber optic or 2-wire connection.

SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) or Mini-GBIC is the advanced version with a smaller form factor and higher speeds. However, SFP+ is even faster than its predecessor with 8 Gbit/s fiber and 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
