G.fast

ALLNET g.fast is the new generation bridge modems and from point to point modems. The ALL BM-300 can be used as an ISP bridge modem at the provider port as well as a master modem with the ALL-BM310, for a point-to-point connection over 2-wire. G.fast is the successor to the VDSL2 transmission method, which, like VDSL2 vectoring and supervision, is based on vectoring. G.fast promises data transmission rates of up to 1 Gbit/s and more over existing 2-wire copper cables and is only suitable for short cable distances of up to 250 m due to the high frequencies. G.fast is therefore still considered an alternative to FTTH, at least for the time being, and is designed for FTTB and FTTdp networks. The ITU-T specifications G.9700 and G.9701 describe G.fast. G.fast stands for "fast access to subscriber terminals".
