GaN stands for the material gallium nitride, which is increasingly being used for semiconductors in chargers. The advantage of GaN over silicon chargers is that it generates less heat. Less heat means that the components can be placed closer together without limiting the power capacity and in accordance with safety standards. The charging process is accelerated as the electric current can pass through the GaN components more quickly.

The term QC stands for QuickCharge® from Qualcomm® which is supported by the power supply unit. PD is an intelligent management technology that makes it possible to always transmit the permitted voltage and current via so-called PD chips in active power cables and devices. It contributes extremely to safety and devices and cables can no longer become overloaded and hot.
