Der ALL-SG8208PD ist ein leistungsfähiger Switch, der an allen 8 Ports Gigabit Ethernet ermöglicht und durch die Auto Negotiation Funktion automatisch die Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit mit den angebundenen Geräten aushandelt. Das Gerät ist perfekt für die Mikro-Segementierung von großen Netzwerken geeignet und bietet so kleineren Sub-Netzen eine optimierte Performance wie sie beispielsweise für Multimedia und Grafikbearbeitung benötigt wird.
Der ALL-SG8208PD unterstützt PoE pass-through, er vereint PD (Powered Device) und PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) in einem Gerät, was bedeutet, dass der Switch über den PD Port von einem PSE Gerät über Netzwerkkabel (CAT 5 oder höher) mit Strom versorgt werden kann, gleichzeitig kann er aber auch weitere Geräte über die beiden PSE Ports mit Strom versorgen.
Sie können z.B. einen Wireless AP oder ein VoIP Telefon (PD Geräte) an diesen Switch anschließen und benötigen keinen zusätzlich Stromanschluss für diese Geräte, dies erleichtert die Installation. Der ALL-SG8208PD unterstützt Überstromschutz und Kurzschlussschutz um die Sicherheit im Netzwerk zu erhöhen.
Der Switch ist ein plug and play Gerät, er muss nicht über eine Software konfi guriert werden, er ist vollständig kompatibel mit allen Arten von Netzwerkprotokollen. Darüber hinaus informieren die Diagnose-LED-Anzeigen auf der Frontseite über den Funktionsstatus der einzelnen Ports und des gesamten Systems.
